Ms. Lu is a licensed California and Chinese attorney. Her ten-year legal expertise in China was mostly on business contract, commercial litigation and real estate investment. When she worked at a law firm in Shanghai, she had been providing legal services to several famous local projects. After joining Castleton Law Group, Karen focuses on civil litigation, general corporate counsel service, family law, and probate estate law. She also handles cases in connection with Chinese laws and regulations. Due to her international background, Karen has a rich understanding of business issues between the U.S. and China. Karen was born and grew up in Shanghai, China. She has dual legal educational backgrounds both in the U.S. and China. She graduated from East China University majoring in Law and Political Science and earned an LLM degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law, in the program of International and Comparative Law, majoring in Financial Services.

In addition to her legal career, Karen is also an active member of SHN and she won the Public Interest Award when she was at Kent Law School.

Karen is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English. She is also a native speaker of Shanghai dialect.
